BIZ TIP: Give free or low-cost trials to get more people to try your product. Even if your subscription offer can be cancelled at any time, people are often weary of getting hooked into a subscription of something they’re unsure of. You can offer a free or a very low-cost trial to try it out.

BIZ TIP: Develop a marketing plan.It doesn’t have to be a long thought out process. Something quick and simple will do. You just need to have some idea of what your plans are when it comes to marketing your business. My plan is a drawing on a piece of paper posted on a bulletin board next to my desk.

Whew!  We just responded to several questions about what are plans are for this coming Holiday Season in regards to our planners so I thought I would share it here for you. We understand that many of you appreciate the ease and affordability we offer with our planners for making your holiday sales and planning hassle-free.  In fact, one person wrote today that she could buy a class planner from us so much cheaper than her doing it herself. This holiday season you want to work smarter, not harder right?

We routinely share our upcoming plans with our valued Class in a Flash members (monthly & 6-month).   It’s one of the perks of membership!  And we will continue to send our members sneak peeks when they are ready.  For planning purposes, here’s what we are working on.

We are offering (2) Class in a Flash Card Sets and (1) Club in a Flash Holiday Set.

Aug 10 we released a fabulous card set that offers 8 cards, 4 mini notes and 4 tags all contained in a card folder using the Quick Accents from the Idea Book & Catalog. This is flying off the shelves at our store.  It’s perfect for new stampers, people who want to create a lot of cards, quickly, fabulous gift and a great introduction to the new Simply Scored product.  Yes, we try to cover all the bases. 

Sept 10 we will be releasing an over-the-top card set using the Christmas Lodge set and coordinating designer series paper from the Holiday Mini.  This class if geared for the more experienced stampers who want their holiday cards to be special and unique. 

Sept 15 we will be releasing a Club in a Flash set.  For more details about our Club in a Flash line, visit ClassinaFlash.com.  This set will contain both cards and 3D projects using both the Stitched Stockings stamp set and matching punch and the Bigz L Die Holiday Stocking.  You can use the ideas for workshops, clubs or stamp camps.  Use just the stamp set if you like or just the die, it will be flexible.  If you haven’t invested in a Big Shot yet, you can still share ideas and sell it using our planner.  How cool is that? 

So that’s our story and we are sticking to it!  We will be providing more details when they become available to our Members.  Now is a great time to become a 6-month subscriber.

CPP: What is a challenge you face in your business?

[Sarah Stetler Miller]:  I suffer from medical disabilities. Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia leave me in pain and sometimes severe fatigue. I usually have to stick around home because of my allergies, asthma and chemical sensitivities make it hard for me to go out. Just visiting a public rest room can be the end of my shopping trip.

Andy Horner wrote an interesting article about email subject lines that he feels works well to increase your email marketing open rates. 

I’m intrigued by item #1 -Element of Surprise. 

Item #2–Strike a Juxtapose, I’m not so sure about truthfully. I want my subscribers to open my email, not scratch their head.

I’ve used #3 (Summarization) quite a bit and I’ve found it to work very well. 

I’m going to have to get on it and do some testing on the other suggestions that he has made.

Today we picked up our bags, put our catalog binders together (REALLY COOL), watched demonstrators, went shopping at the Momental Mall and went to the evening party.  It was a log of fun.  I went a bit crazy at the Memento Mall especially.  So many great things to purchase. 

I bought several of the shopping bags as I give them to my fabulous hostesses!  There was a laptop skin that I HAD to have.  The obligatory Designer Series Paper and Ribbon Samplers, and my new love – the insulated lunch bag and matching cup.  

The rest of the pictures are taken at the Garden Showcase which was UNBELIEVABLE.  I wish you were here to see all these cool ideas.

[Sarah Stetler Miller]: I have a label maker and I’m not afraid to use it. I label everything and put all my card stock, ink and ribbons in color groups. My scraps are sitting in a milk carton next to my feet in single baggies all in alphabetical order.

I wanted to share with you my favorite technique from the Technique Club – Volume 4 Club Planner we just released.  This technique is called Polished Stone.  The reason I like this technique so much is that it is one of those “can’t believe it if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes” technique.  And it gives me a reason to get the Smooch Spritz in front of my customers.  This is just one of 12 techniques in our latest release of the club planner.  More Details >> http://bit.ly/jCqEdB
