Changing Your Facebook Status

I received comments about how to set your Facebook status to offline based on my tip to hide your online status. So I thought I would explain that a bit more in detail. Unfortunately, at this time you cannot remove Facebook Chat or automatically appear offline to everyone. But changing your status is easy enough to do on-demand.
To appear offline to everyone:
- Click on “Chat” in the bottom toolbar.
- Choose “Options.”
