“Elf” and Your Business
Posted by: | CommentsDid you see the Christmas movie “ELF”? It’s about a six-foot tall adopted elf named Buddy (played by Will Ferrell). He goes to New York to meet his birth father, played by James Caan. It’s a little over the top but It made me laugh and then it made me think. The story is that Buddy’s enthusiasm is contagious. He even convinces his new family that syrup tastes good ON EVERYTHING!

Vancouver BC Stampin’ Up! Regional
Posted by: | CommentsThe Vancouver BC Stampin’ Up! Regional was a real treat. The projects, the people and the inspiration delivered – FANTASTIC. The only thing that didn’t cooperate was the weather. Yes, Vancouver got snow and it made it a mess to get around, but beautiful from my hotel room. Donna Griffith started her MDS presentation with a take on the Old Spice commercials you might have seen. It was so funny. You can find the script on Stampin’ Connection by the MDS video. Did you hear about Glenda Travelstead’s tumble in the snow? She broke her ankle, poor girl.

When you work from home, it is easy for the lines between “work” and “home” to get blurred. You may find yourself constantly interrupted by family, fiends, and neighbors. It may also be harder to concentrate on “work” when you have a sink full of dishes and other chores to take care of. I don’t have that problem, but I understand other do.

Design Tips to Improve Your Advertising and Direct Mail
Posted by: | CommentsI thought I would try something new this year for advertising…direct mail. Direct mail and advertising are two extremely powerful marketing tools when they’re done correctly. I’m sending postcards to my customers who I think might be interested in My Digital Studio. The piece will show a picture of the product with a bow wrapped around it. A quick paragraph about what it is and to contact me for purchase. There needs to be a special offer so I’m offering to gift wrap and deliver if they have the product shipped to me.

Posted by: | CommentsWe are a generation of multi-taskers. We are on the go. We talk on the cell phone while waiting in line for our coffee. We type notes on our laptops while waiting for doctor’s appointments. We busily jot down ideas on napkins while we are at our child’s soccer games.
As women and as mothers, we are great at using every moment we have to the best of our abilities. Combining our talent for getting things done and our love for crafting is easy to multi-task our way into an extra income.
