The Perfect Box

Posted by: debbiemcneill | Comments (2)

This is a project from this month’s demonstrator class planner release – Just Believe Stationery Set. The art of letter writing never goes out of style and this month we’ve balanced simple single layer cards with unique details and a great divided stationery box. This class is ideal for you to offer as part of your holiday plan because it is a snap to prepare and is simple enough for customers to make several sets as gifts.

Time is just flying by.  We’ve been working non-stop on the party details.  Thank you for all those who sent in their feedback.  We decided to go with all four colors!  It’s a tropical theme.

We are not starting to focus on all the wonderful gifts we are giving to our party and cruise guests.

First, our goal for the party and cruise is to be fun but also a learning experience. Every year we make sure our guests come home with a bunch of great ideas and resources for this business.  And this year is no exception. We’ve just finalized this year’s Customer Appreciation Party Resource List. It’s a bit overwhelming all the resources our guests will be receiving when they join us at the Party & Cruise.

==>  We will have a Make & Take again this year at the party and you will be able to download the instructions and share them with your customers.

==>  We are going to be sharing “7 Free and Low-Cost Web Traffic Tactics” at the party.  We will have available an audio of the presentation for you to download when you are at home and ready to put the tactics into practice.

==>  We will be showing you how to create a fun and easy catalog bookmark to share with your customers. The template will be available for download.

==>  On the cruise we will be playing New Product Bingo.  All the instructions for the game and bingo cards will be available for download as well.    These resources are tools we use in our own business and we are happy to share them with you.

…..and that’s only half of the list!

If you have your ticket already, great!  Amy and I can’t wait to meet you.  If you coming to convention, we still have a few more seats available.

More details at our party page.

SUDSOL Blog Tour

Our entry today is a card using the Elements of Style stamp set from the Summer Mini.

Elements of Style stamp set - Rose Red Card

This card is ideal for workshop demonstrations because it highlights great new products from the Mini Catalog. The Elements of Style stamp set, Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon and several of our most popular products that can get lost in the back of the catalog such as; Blender Pens, Circle Scissor Plus and Dotto. Tools like the Circle Scissor Plus are always popular with new and experienced stampers.  By highlighting some of these items from the back of the catalog it gives a great tie-in for reminding customers to look at the accessories, punches, tools, adhesives and more that are up-sell items. This card is part of our Elements of Style Class which has 4 cards and includes a matching box. With the cost to create the 4 cards at $3.22 US and $4.09 CA for all 4 cards, it’s a cost effective project that showcases four products and a technique.

SUPPLIES

Rose Red card stock 1 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”
Chocolate Chip card stock 1 3-3/4” x 5”
Very Vanilla Card Stock 1 3-1/2” x 4-3/4”
12” Chocolate Chip 5/8” Satin Ribbon

I’ve been a member of SUDSOL for over 4 years now.  SUDSOL is a great resource for demos because it is focused on serving demonstrators only!  Demos have enough competition from other markets, it’s nice to have a place where we can go that is not open to the whole crafting world.  The resources, like the catalog pricing spreadsheets, are a big help and worth the small cost of membership on their own!

Thanks for visiting.

Spotlight on Style Card Set

Posted by: Debbie McNeill | Comments (0)

Below is one of the projects in this month’s Class in a Flash – Spotlight on Style Card Set.

The Summer Mini is packed full of great new products and we’ve featured several in this class to help you save time promoting these products. This four card set with a gorgeous box can easily be converted to a stamp-a-stack event and we’ve included the cost information for you! We are highlighting the Circle Scissor Plus in this planner, but you don’t need it to create the projects. The tutorial is a great tool to help explain this higher cost item to your customers.

Based on your feedback we’ve made a few changes this month. We renovated the pictures so the dimensions fit perfectly in DBWS’s gallery upload, saving you time and hassle. The Card Template document has been removed to comply with Stampin’ Up!’s new policies. We still have the great custom designed Card Template with measurements as a graphic that you can use for your business.

I am so impressed with Ellen Barner’s marketing genius.  I wanted to share it with all of you as an idea.  Thanks so much Ellen for sharing this with us.

Ellen Barner's Ad

Here’s what Ellen wrote:

Thank you Amy and Debbie for the clear mount stamp tutorial!  This is a great addition to March’s class.  Just so you know, I am advertising in Natural Awakenings, a local Health and Wellness magazine. Attached is my ad for the March issue using the group card picture for the Vintage Vogue classes that I am holding in March.

I am SO GRATEFUL that you all put the time and effort into preparing everything I need to quickly and efficiently plan and execute my classes.

Happy Stamping,  Ellen Barner

Don’t you all agree? Part of a healthy life is having one or more hobbies.
