Description: This is a self help book that will lead to the reader realizing he or she can say no and not feel guilty about it. It also gives advice that will strengthen personal resolve, give the answers to saying no and still being seen as a nice person and opening up time for oneself.

Review: Most of us have a hard time saying no. It’s just a part of life. Could be we all feel guilty when we say no or it could be we just like to help. For me it’s the guilty part. I didn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings by not being there for them so if I said no I felt guilty because I was just sure I had hurt them or consider their idea or product bad or something.

This self help book has shown me its okay to say no. If for no other reason than sometimes I just may be helping someone else…myself. In turn if I was helping myself I was helping my family and friends.

I have also learned just because I say no it doesn’t mean I’m not a nice person because I am a nice person. In fact, I may be a better person by saying no once in a while. I don’t feel that obligation to do something I don’t really want to or can’t do which in turn makes me feel used and upset. So in the long run my outlook is much better in some instances if I just say no.

Because this book didn’t tell me I had to say no all the time or even when to say no, I felt a little better about the concept of the book and giving it a shot. So many self help books tell readers they have to do this or that in order to get where they wan to be. This book just shows that if one decides to say no there’s a way to go about it and feeling good about that choice.

There’s no perfect answer to learning to say no. It’s a personal choice and one needs to decide when and why the no’s in life are necessary.

If you’re having trouble with saying no and doing it in a way that won’t leave guilty feelings or misunderstandings, give this book a chance. It really helped this people pleaser.
