Meet Cathy Parlitsis

We always ask our Dynamic Demonstrators to answer your burning questions about developing and growing your business. All 10 of Cathy’s answers were informative but I only have room to share one with you today.

CPP: What have you done to retain your customers?
[Cathy Parlitsis]: I have been a demonstrator for ten years and still have some of the same customers! I think changing things up has a great effect on maintaining their interest. They have lots of stamps so I try to focus on accessories when the new catalogs come out because that is what they need!

Also, I try to give them the very best customer service I can. Making myself indispensable to them as an “expert” in our products helps to add value to both our product and ourselves. They can’t get that in the craft stores. I tell them a story ­ in a joking way ­ but it IS a true story. I tell them my mom brought me a dotto refill and asked me to install it in her dispenser for her. I said “Where did you get that?” She replied: “AC Moore.” I told her she needed to go to AC Moore to have them install it for her. They laugh ­ but it certainly makes the point!
