Demonstrator Disaster Response Network

By

Gretchen Barron from Illinois, knows all about disasters, having recently gone through a flooding of her stamp studio. But that didn’t stop her from helping others. Gretchen has established the Disaster Response Network to help struggling SU demonstrators rebuild after the recent storms and flooding.

Here is the initial plan:

1. If you or someone you know of has been a victim of a disaster (now or in the future) which wipes out some or all of their supplies, contact Gretchen and give her their contact information

2. She will contact them to find out what their needs are, where we should send things, and (this is important) when they will be ready to begin receiving gifts of love from other demonstrators.

3. She will publish a list of supplies needed to every demonstrator discussion group and demonstrators can sign up what they would be able to donate and mail the items directly to the person in need when the time is appropriate.

4. Items can be sent directly from you, using overstock or things that you would like to donate or you can place a CDO (customer direct order) and have the items shipped to them directly from Stampin’ Up!.

If you can assist in any way or know of anyone who has been affected by the recent hurricanes, e-mail Gretchen as soon as possible.

This is a fabulous Work of Heart. Thank you Gretchen for getting the ball rolling and thank you Debbie for using your communication skills to get the word out.

Now I know why I ordered so many duplicate things in the past. I thought I was just a dunderhead – but God knew better! He just gave this dunderhead a mission.

When our home burned last year, SU demos were so generous and giving to me that I signed up with SU to be like them! Now, seeing the destruction others are facing and knowing first hand what an ordeal they have ahead, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to help… Count me in!
