What Does Post Teaser Do?
ByI have received several comments about a TWEET I posted @debbiemcneill. I was so excited that I found this plugin by author WeyHan Ng that I sent a tweet out. Let me explain a little more here about what this great WordPress plugin does for my blog site.
I’m a skimmer. When I read the newspaper, technical books, or blogs, I’m skimming looking for articles that interest me. I like to see just a summary or teaser of information in a list and then when I found something of interest, I can click on it for more information.
That’s what the Post Teaser does for your WordPress blog. It offers a “teaser” of information for you. Take it for a spin, click on Dynamic Demonstrators in the right-hand sidebar. You’ll see how you get a quick overview of all the Stampin’ Up! demonstrators I have featured in my downline newsletter service over the years. It’s quick and easy for the reader.
It is so simple to install too if you have a hosted WordPress account. You simply select Plugins> Add New > Search for “Post Teaser”. Once it comes up on the list click to install and then activate. Now go into settings. In the settings for Post Teaser you are able to control the length of each post. It also includes features that can be turned off and on to generate a word count, image count, and an estimated reading time. It’s just darn cool!!!! If you are not hosting WordPress but are interested in doing so contact my friend, Webs by Amy (See graphic is sidebar ==============> )
Reasons you might want to use Post Teaser:
- You keep putting
<!--more-->into your posts - You would like to save bandwidth by only having people view a full post if they actually want to read it
- You just like the “teaser” format
